About Us
Hello — I'm Laetitia. Let's Jam is mine, and I run it with Happy, the little Yorkshire Terrier you'll usually find somewhere in the shop.
❥ It started with jam jars
I founded Let's Jam in Camden in 2014, and it didn't begin with jewellery at all. It began with candles — handmade, poured into recycled jam jars.
That's where the name comes from. It stuck, and I've never wanted to change it, because it's a reminder of how this all started: making something lovely out of what somebody else was about to throw away.
❥ Handmade in Camden Town
Today we design and handcraft our own jewellery and accessories here in London, alongside pieces I've sourced carefully from around the world.
Most of what we sell is made by us, by hand — not "designed here, made elsewhere", but actually made, by our own hands, a few steps from where you'll find us. Where a piece isn't 100% handmade, there's a very good chance there's still manual involvement somewhere in the making of it. I'd rather tell you that plainly than pretend otherwise. Everything made entirely by hand lives together in the handmade collection.
It's slower this way, and no two pieces come out quite identical. I've made my peace with that — I think it's the best thing about them.
❥ Sourced responsibly, or not at all
For the stones and materials I don't make myself, I travel to find them. That takes longer and costs more than ordering from a catalogue, but it's the only way I can honestly stand behind what I'm selling you.
Let's Jam is built on well-being and happiness, and I couldn't square that with selling goods of unknown origin, made by people I know nothing about, in conditions I'd rather not think about. So I don't. If I can't establish where something came from and how it was made, it doesn't go in the shop.
The full detail is on our sourcing & policies page.
❥ Years of trying things
Years of travelling, researching and creating — and occasionally failing — have shaped Let's Jam into what it is now. From our much-loved matching bracelets to the charm jewellery and permanent bracelets we make for you in person at the shop, every piece has a story behind it somewhere.
Some of them are quite personal. Our boho earrings, for instance, each carry the name of one of the important women in my life.
❥ Made to order & bespoke
Some pieces are made especially for you once you've ordered them, which is why we ask for a few days before your parcel goes out.
And if you have something particular in mind — a piece that doesn't exist yet, a gift that has to be exactly right, an idea you can't find anywhere else — please just ask me. Bespoke work is my favourite part of this job, and no request is too small or too strange.
❥ Our sister companies
A few steps away from the shop is Joy&Happyness — named after me ("Laetitia" means Joy in Latin) and, of course, after Happy.
Our enamel pins and badges now have a home of their own too, at Pinp Me Up.
❥ Come and see for yourself
Photographs only get you so far with handmade things. If you're anywhere near Camden, come and find us in the Market Halls — Unit L3, lower ground floor, open 10am to 6pm every day. There's always more in the shop than we can fit online.
Don't be shy, come and say hi.
